I have to admit that I am a gadget person. I love tracking my process on devices as it helps me to see where I am and what I need to do to improve. About two years ago, I decided to purchase a heart rate monitor but after using it for around six months I decided that I need something more than just track calories while I am at the gym. That's why I bought a device called bodymedia fit and I am more that excited to tell you how in love I am with this product. If you don't know what it is, here is a link to the uk's version http://www.kiperformance.co.uk/default.aspx
It's the same as the one in the USA just configured to be used in the UK. Here is how it looks like (picture taken from the Amazon):
Advantages:
1. tracks your daily activity: moderate and vigorous
2. tracks your daily calorie intake (you have to upload it, can be done using myfitnesspal)
3. tracks your burnt calories
4. provides you with a detailed report of nutrition facts (charts of protein, carbs, sugars...consumed throughout the day)
5. tracks your sleep efficiency
6. is light and easy to wear
7. the battery lasts quite long (I've been wearing it for three days and still doesn't need to be charged)
Disadvantages:
1. very expensive + you have to purchase a subscription to be able to see all the data + if you want to see your calorie burn on the spot, you have to purchase an additional monitor (watch type)
2. might get itchy when wearing under thicker clothes
3. very visible to the public
Other info:
Performance manager system has to be paid for in form of subscription. It's about £10 a month which I consider to be not too bad as it's most peoples' expenditure on sweets, takeaway or coffee on the go. Instead of that, I am investing in a better 'ME'.
Overall:
I would 100% recommend it to everyone as it helps to track my whole day's activity and nutrition instead of just being a simple heart rate monitor which doesn't provide you with such an amount of information.
Feel free to leave comments and questions:)
P.S. I have not been sponsored in any way.

The Begining
Hello my dear readers! Probably you would like to know more about me and why? how? when? I started my weight loss journey. So here it is.
I have been overweight all my life till I decided to make a change and loose those horrible kilograms almost six years ago. I was still at school having other issues but it was something that made me feel weak and worthless every day. To make long story short, years later, I managed to get rid of 35kg (*5.5st; *77lbs) and finally be happy about my body and be proud of my achievements. Sadly, throughout the winter of 2013-2014 I have gained 15kg (*2.3st; *33lbs) due to the lack of time, exercise and an enormous amount of homework at university. I don't want those feelings to get back to me so here I come again. New goals and new challenges.
This blog, first of all, is a diary for me. To look back at what I did and how I could improve and motivate myself. Second, it's the place for all those delicious recipes I sometimes manage to find and always wish to share with the rest of the world. And last but not least, this is my accountability journal. I can be honest with you all and kick myself in a butt if I need to.
Here is a little plan I designed for myself to get on track again - second attempt:
1. Drink at least a litre a water.
2. Go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week plus other light activities for the rest of the week.
3. Reward myself if I am doing well.
4. Keep updating my process on the blog and other social medias.
5. Find weight loss buddies online or in the real life to keep me going.
6. Invest time and effort into myself.
Please, feel free to leave your comments here or on my instagram/facebook accounts (coming soon) so that we could keep motivating each other!!!
Thank you so much for reading this post. Hope it will inspire you to start your journey!
